Alistair's throat closes up before he can say anything. In lieu of that, he shakes his head, tightening his hold on Cullen.
I shouldn't have asked,
he thinks, a little wildly.
I can't do this to him --
(But he wants him there, so badly. And Cullen's willing to stay.)
